La semana próxima (del 17 al 19) se celebrará en Nueva York (Esta vez en Long Island) la reunión semestral del Proyecto LINK

Como se sabe, dicho proyecto, constituido por Lawrence R. Klein (Premio Nobel de Economía de 1980) en la segunda mitad de los 1960, y dedicado a la predicción econométrica de la economía mundial, es llevado hoy en la sede de las Naciones Unidas de Nueva York. Depende de la
Economic Analysis & Policy Division

En sus reuniones participan siempre representantes del FMI, El Banco Mundial, la OCDE, el BCE y otras instituciones dedicadas al análisis de la situación económica mundial y a las predicciones posibles sobre la economía mundial.

El nodo español de este proyecto, que mantiene el modelo econométrico de la economía española que se interconecta con el resto de modelos de todo el mundo, se lleva en el CEPREDE de la Unversidad Autónoma de Madrid

Soy parte de este proyecto desde 1983 y he sido durante muchos años miembro de su Steering Committee.
